The Setup page walks you through the essential steps to get your Seamlss account ready. It tracks your progress and highlights what is required versus what is highly recommended, so you know exactly where to start.
Accessing Setup #
Navigate to Setup in the left-hand menu. If there are outstanding required steps, you will see a Required badge next to the menu item. Once all required steps are complete, the page will display a “Setup Complete” message with a Let’s Start button.
Required Steps #
These steps must be completed before you can start using Seamlss with your clients:
- Setup your brand – Add your organisation email, logo, and brand colour. This is configured in Settings.
- Customise your engagement template – Update your client engagement template to fit your organisation. You can manage this in Templates.
Highly Recommended Steps #
These steps are not strictly required but are strongly recommended to get the most out of Seamlss:
- Customise your communication messages – Modify your client welcome and request email templates to match your firm’s tone and branding.
- Set your notification recipients – Choose who receives email notifications when actions are completed in Seamlss.
- Set your Client-Agent linking details – Enter your Tax or BAS Agent details so clients can complete their client-agent linking during onboarding.
- Set yourself up as a client – Add yourself as a client using your own email. This is a great way to test and see exactly what your clients experience during onboarding. See our help guide for more.
- Set your meeting types and templates – Create custom meeting types and templates to suit your firm’s workflow.
- Enable 2FA Security – Set up two-factor authentication for your account. This is an ATO requirement for handling sensitive data.
Setup Incomplete Warning #
If your organisation setup is not yet complete, you will see a warning banner on other pages (such as the Clients page) reminding you to finish setup. You can still onboard clients, but it is best to complete the required steps before sending real onboarding requests.
