What is the AML Compliance Hub? #
The AML Compliance Hub is your central workspace for preparing your accounting or bookkeeping firm for Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Tranche 2 regulations. Rather than tracking deadlines in spreadsheets or relying on scattered notes, the Hub brings everything together in one place—tasks, timelines, resources, and progress tracking.
The compliance deadline is 1 July 2026, and the Hub is designed to help you work through preparation in manageable phases, starting well before AUSTRAC releases detailed guidance in January 2026.
Accessing the AML Compliance Hub #
From your Seamlss dashboard, click AML Compliance Hub in the left-hand navigation menu in Blue at the bottom.
Overview Tab #
When you first enter the Hub, you’ll land on the Overview tab. This gives you a snapshot of where you stand.
The Overview displays four key metrics at a glance:
- Compliance Deadline — The date by which your firm must be compliant (1 July 2026), along with the number of days remaining
- Current Phase — Which phase of the 5-phase implementation framework you’re currently working through
- Tasks Completed — How many preparation tasks you’ve finished versus the total in your current phase
- Next Milestone — The target completion date for your current phase
You’ll also see an Important Timeline Update notice when there are changes to AUSTRAC’s schedule or guidance availability. For example, AUSTRAC’s accounting-specific guidance has been moved from December 2025 to January 2026, which affects when you can begin certain tasks.

About the Checklist #
The checklist follows a 5-phase implementation framework:
- Phase 1: Prep & Awareness — Understanding the regulations and getting your firm organised
- Phase 2: Build & Rollout — Developing your AML/CTF program and procedures
- Phase 3: Go-Live Readiness — Final preparations before the compliance date
- Phase 4: Embed into BAU — Integrating compliance into daily operations
- Phase 5: Annual Review — Ongoing compliance maintenance
Only Phase 1 tasks are unlocked initially. Subsequent phases will unlock as you progress and as AUSTRAC guidance becomes available.
