Seamlss was founded in September 2020 by Clayton Wood, Daniel Steinhauser and Shaun Thurling, who went to university together at Charles Sturt University. Clayton is the Managing Director of Business Edge Advisors, an accounting firm. Daniel is the lead web developer at Web Matrix, and Shaun is the Chief Technical Officer of a large private company.
Seamlss itself is software. It does not provide accounting services; it is built for the firms that do.

You should. You will be trusting us with your clients’ identity details. Here is what you can check without taking our word for it.
- The company. Look up ABN 75 644 225 945 on ABN Lookup. It shows Ezy Onboard Pty Ltd, active and registered for GST since 10 September 2020, with Seamlss as its business name.
- Reviews. Rated 4.9 from 21 reviews on the Xero App Store, and reviewed on Google. Both are public.
- Security. Seamlss has an ISO 27001 aligned security posture and is working towards ISO 27001 audit readiness using Vanta. It is not certified. The security page sets out how client data is protected.
- Client links. Your client signs in before a request opens. A forwarded or guessed link shows nothing.
- Identity documents. Seamlss deletes ID documents automatically after 14 days and keeps a log of the check for your firm. Copies are not left sitting in your files.
