When to Send a Request #
Send clearance requests when:
- Taking on a client currently with another firm
- Client has indicated they want to transfer services
- You need confirmation there are no professional reasons preventing the transfer
Step-by-Step Process #
Step 1: Create Request
- Click “Add” in Ethical Clearances

- Complete Receiving Firm Details:
- Business/Firm Name
- Contact Person
- Email Address
- Phone (optional)
- Add Primary Client Name
- Include Additional Instructions explaining the transfer context
Step 2: Add Entities for Clearance

- For each entity requiring clearance:
- Select Entity Type (Individual/Company/Trust)
- Enter Entity Name
- Provide ABN/ACN as appropriate
- Mark “Required” for entities needing TFN from receiving firm
- Use “Add Another Entity” for multiple entities
- Tip: Tick “Required” for any fields you need the receiving firm to complete
Step 3: Review & Send
- Review Summary shows all details
- Upload Ethical Clearance Document (optional PDF of signed letter)
- Email Options:
- Tick “Send Email Request to Receiving Firm”
- Add Optional Message for additional context
- Send Options:
- “Send Request” – Sends immediately
- “Save Draft” – Save for later completion
Managing Your Requests #
Request List shows all requests with:
- Status Indicators: Requested (blue), Pending (orange), Completed (green)
- Actions: View, Edit, Delete
- Filter Tabs: All, Pending, Completed
Status Meanings:
- Requested: Sent, awaiting response
- Pending: Partially responded, some entities still require answers
- Completed: All entities have responses
