# Set up your firm in Seamlss

Everything a new firm does, from registering to sending the first client request, in the order most firms do it. Each step links to its own guide.

**Joining a firm that already uses Seamlss?** Don't register. Registering creates a separate firm. Ask your firm's admin to add you from **Settings**, **Users**, and you'll get an invitation by email.

## Your first hour

1. Register your firm
   Fill in the sign-up form. See [Register your firm](https://seamlss.com.au/help/register-now/). We recommend the form over signing up with Xero, which means extra work later.
2. Confirm your email and log in
   Select the link in the confirmation email, then log in.
3. Work through Setup
   Your brand and engagement letter first, then the recommended steps. See [Start with the Setup page](https://seamlss.com.au/help/setup-guide/).
4. Add your team
   Add each person from [**Settings**, **Users**](https://seamlss.app/Dashboard/Settings#users) rather than letting them register. See [Add firm users](https://seamlss.com.au/help/add-firm-users/).
5. Add yourself as a client
   So you see what your clients see. See [Add yourself as a client](https://seamlss.com.au/help/add-yourself-as-a-client/).
6. Connect XPM, if you use it

7. Send your first request
   Select **+ Request** at the top of any screen.
